Congenital Growths and Tumors

Congenital Growths and Tumors affect one in every 50 infants. (Fig. 13, 14, 15) Congenital tumors, such as hemangiomas, vascular malformations, fibrous dysplasia of bone, and neurofibromatosis, often benefit from a coordinated team approach with effective surgical intervention by an experienced craniofacial surgeon. Also, the more malignant facial tumors that occur in children including sarcomas are ideally managed through a coordinated combined treatment approach.
